Three free family outings lead this weekend, and two of them sit a short walk apart in downtown Orlando on Saturday morning. Every date, time, and address below comes from the organizer's own page, checked October 29, 2026.

Orlando families have three big free outings the weekend of November 6 to 8, 2026: Fall Fiesta in the Park at Lake Eola, Family STEM Saturdays at the Orlando Public Library, and the City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade at Lake Nona.

Admission to all three is free. Food, crafts, and parking are a separate budget.

What is Fall Fiesta in the Park, and when is it?

Fall Fiesta in the Park is a two day arts, crafts, and food festival around Lake Eola, and the City of Orlando's 2026 Fall Fiesta event page lists the cost as free. It runs Saturday, November 7, 2026, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM both days.

The city page calls this the 55th annual Fall Fiesta and describes local artists and crafters, live entertainment, food vendors, and "a huge kids' play area." It also says the event is family and pet friendly.

Expect a crowd. The festival FAQ says the Orlando Police Department estimates 250,000 people walk through Fall Fiesta over its two days.

The FAQ promises food vendors, food trucks, and kid friendly activities with the Cox Media Group radio stations. If this weekend is full, the FAQ says Spring Fiesta is held on the first weekend of April, so the next one comes in April 2027.

Where do you park for Fall Fiesta, and which roads close?

Use a downtown garage. The festival's Hotels and Parking page lists three nearby garages:

Library Garage, 112 East Central Boulevard, between Rosalind Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.

Central Garage, 53 West Central Boulevard, near Orange Avenue and Central Boulevard.

55 West Garage, 60 West Pine Street, between Garland Avenue and Orange Avenue.

The city's Fall Fiesta road closure notice, checked October 29, 2026, closes roads from Friday, November 6, 2026, at 6 AM until Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 11 PM. Central Boulevard closes from Osceola Circle to Eola Drive. Eola Drive closes from Robinson Street to just past Washington Street, before the garage exit. Osceola Circle closes at Central Boulevard. Temporary no parking signs may go up on nearby streets.

Can you skip the garage? The LYMMO page from LYNX says the Grapefruit Line serves the History Center and library stop and Lake Eola, running Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 8:25 PM, about every 15 minutes Saturday and every 30 minutes Sunday. The Lime Line also stops at the library and Lake Eola, but it runs weekdays only. With Central Boulevard closed, stops may move, so call LYNX at 407 841 5969 first.

Two addresses appear for the park. The city event page uses Lake Eola Park, 512 East Washington Street, Orlando, FL 32801. The festival site and the road closure notice use 195 North Rosalind Avenue. Both point to the same park.

What is Family STEM Saturdays at the Orlando Public Library?

Family STEM Saturdays is a drop in build and play session with littleBits, Snap Circuits, and K'NEX at the library's Melrose Center. The Orange County Library System event listing, checked October 29, 2026, sets it for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

It is in the Makerspace on the second floor of the Orlando Public Library, 101 East Central Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32801.

The listing says ages 4 to 104, and children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent. It shows no fee and no registration button, and the OCLS event guidelines say library events are generally free and open to the public. Questions go to the library at 407 835 7323.

The Library Garage is a City of Orlando garage, open around the clock, and the city's Library Garage page takes parking reservations online. Parking questions go to 407 246 2155. One spot there can cover a library morning and a lakeside afternoon on November 7, 2026.

What else is happening at the Orlando Public Library this weekend?

Younger siblings have their own sessions on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in the Papa Bear area on the first floor, and the OCLS listings show no registration for any of them. Preschool Storytime, for ages 3 to 5, runs 10:30 to 11 AM. Toddler Storytime, for 18 to 36 months, runs 11 to 11:30 AM. Baby Storytime, for babies up to 18 months, runs 11:30 AM to noon.

The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale runs Saturday from 10:30 AM to 5 PM and returns Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 1:30 to 5 PM. The listing says used books, movies, music, and games are 50% off the regular price, and cash, cards, and contactless payments are accepted.

On Sunday, a Chess Meetup for all ages and all skill levels runs 2 to 4 PM in the Learning Cube on the second floor, with chess sets provided.

The Orlando Public Library is open Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 1 to 6 PM. Families who need a disability accommodation should contact the library at least seven days ahead, the storytime and chess listings say.

Is there a free family event outside downtown on Saturday?

Yes. The OCLS program Taino and Yaqui Nation Native Event with Story and Dance features a Taino story and the traditional Deer Dance from the Yaqui Nation, and it is recommended for families.

It runs Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the North Orange Branch, 1211 East Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL 32703. A second session runs the same day from 3 to 4 PM at the Southeast Branch, 5575 South Semoran Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32822. Both listings say registration is required, so sign up on the event page or call 407 835 7323.

When is the Orlando Veterans Day Parade at Lake Nona?

The 27th Annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade is Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Lake Nona Town Center, and the city's 2026 Veterans Day Parade page lists it as free.

The parade begins and ends at Lake Nona Town Center, 6955 Lake Nona Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32827. The city says it flows through the town center and ends near Boxi Park, where a ceremony and sponsor vendors follow.

For parking, the city says street parking is available throughout Lake Nona and to follow signs. It also says parking is available where the parade stops.

The 2026 theme is "Veterans Helping Veterans and Their Families," and the city says this year's parade, in recognition of America's 250th anniversary, pays special tribute to those who have served and highlights the support military families provide.

How do you plan the weekend without spending much?

Pick by side of town. Downtown families can stack the library session and Fiesta on Saturday, November 7, 2026, or save Fiesta for Sunday, November 8, 2026, when there is no competing parade. Lake Nona families have the parade close to home Saturday at 11 AM.

Bring cash or a card for Fiesta food and crafts, water for the parade route, and patience for downtown traffic after 6 AM Friday, November 6, 2026.
